Peyton Manning (18) of the Denver Broncos takes the trophy after the Broncos win. The Denver Broncos played the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on February 7, 2016.

Sorry, Tom Brady. Move aside, Patrick Mahomes. This is still the Sheriff’s turf.

Peyton Manning hasn’t thrown a football in an NFL game since Super Bowl 50 in 2016, but the retired Broncos quarterback . Manning pulled in just less than $3.4 million from March 1, 2019 to Feb. 29, 2020, The Athletic’s Daniel Kaplan pulled from the organization’s labor management report.

Most of the money, Kaplan explains, comes from Electronic Arts, Fanatics, Nike, and Panini. “Demand for Manning’s jersey, his avatar in video games, and his likeness on rectangular pieces of cardboard outstrip most if not all current players,” Kaplan writes.

Brady came in at No. 2 with nearly $3 million, followed by Mahomes at nearly $2.8 million. No current Broncos players landed in the Top 12.
