Two men killed in Denver in separate incidents identified

One died in a stabbing, the other in a shooting

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified two people who were killed in Denver over the last few days.

The victim of a shooting late Saturday night in the 200 block of South Julian Street has been identified as 39-year-old Alexander Dole. Dole was transported to a hospital and died of his injuries. The manner of death was declared a homicide from a gunshot wound, according to the coroner’s office.

The identity of a man who was fatally stabbed Tuesday morning on the Auraria campus was also identified. Richard Ford III, 36, was stabbed during an argument with another person near the Clear Creek building before the suspect fled. He was transported to Denver Health where he was pronounced dead. The coroner’s office declared his manner of death a homicide from a stab wound.
