Denver weather forecasters are warning of poor air quality Wednesday, as temperatures climb into the 80s again.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Boulder said a weak front will push widespread smoke from nearby wildfires into the urban corridor later Wednesday afternoon into tonight.
“Full sun and low humidity in the 6-12% range will allow for more active fire behavior of the nearby wildfires resulting in continuation of smoke,” the weather service wrote in its daily forecast discussion.
The high is expected to climb to 86 degrees in Denver on Wednesday, continuing a trend of hotter-than-normal October temperatures, and could threaten the record high for Oct. 7 of 87 degrees.
