Getting your player ready...

Colorado has been covered by a snowstorm that started midday Monday and has continued into Tuesday. Not much snow has stuck in downtown Denver but early-morning fog and late-day winds should make driving tricky throughout the day.

Several areas around Denver are on accident alert while the Colorado Department of Transportation has 435 plows working the roads.

Drive times are slow for much of the city but there are some notable crashes that could impact your drive.

Westbound Interstate 70 was blocked at Sheridan Boulevard in Lakeside due to a crash. That has cleared. I-70’s left lane is also blocked near Glenwood Springs due to a crash. CDOT is reporting travel times from Golden to Eisenhower Tunnel will take 75 minutes longer than usual.

Interstate 25’s right lane was blocked with emergency crews on the scene traveling north near Mesa Ridge Parkway in Fountain. That crash is now cleared.

A crash on 6th Avenue blocked multiple lanes near Simms Street. That collision is now clear.

Loveland Pass had been closed Tuesday. CDOT cleared the road at 8:45 a.m.

Road closures:

  • CO 65; between D.80 Rd and C.60 Rd.

This story will be continually updated throughout the day.
