Two Colorado towns are among the friendliest cities in the U.S., according to Expedia

When you’re smiling, a whole town smiles with you. At that’s what will happen when you visit these two Colorado places, according to Expedia.

Manitou Springs and Aspen are among the top 20 friendliest cities in the U.S., according to . Coming in at No. 3, Manitou Springs is described as a place where “art lovers will enjoy the galleries, restaurants and boutiques” and “can even spring for a hot air balloon ride.” The town at the base of Pikes Peak is also known for and the Broadmoor in nearby Colorado Springs, which has a 61-year streak as a Forbes five-star hotel.

Rounding out the rankings is Aspen at No. 20. Expedia stated that the mountain town was a great place to “get an ‘altitude’ adjustment with ski and snowboard rental packages, snowshoeing and more.” Aspen Snowmass recently , adding one more week for winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy the open air. Topping Expedia’s list of the U.S. friendliest cities is Whitefish, Montana, described as an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Colorado, Maine and Hawaii are the states to have multiple cities on the list. The rankings were determined by examining online reviews by Expedia users between January 2019 and December 2020 with high mentions like “friendly, friendliest, amiable,” and similar words.
