Rockies 1, White Sox 0 (7 innings)
Sunday at Camelback Ranch

On the mound: Making his first start of the spring, ace right-hander Germán Márquez tossed three scoreless innings, striking out one. The White Sox put at least one runner on base in all three frames, tagging Márquez with three hits and one walk, but a double play ended the threat in the first and Chicago stranded three runners between the second and third innings.

At the plate: In a game with few offensive fireworks, it was fitting that the lone run (scored by Ryan Vilade) came off a White Sox fielding error. The Rockies had just two hits — singles from Jameson Hannah and Brian Serven in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. Outfielder Charlie Blackmon, who was 0-for-2 on Sunday, is still looking for his first hit of the spring (0-of-6 in three games).

Worth noting:  Rockies relievers combined for four scoreless innings for the second straight game. On Sunday, Ryan Rollison (2IP), Tyler Kinley (1IP) and Phillip Diehl allowed just one base runner — Yoan Moncada’s leadoff double in the fourth.
