The city of Denver’s most prized outdoor amenity is the 71-mile High Line Canal and bike trail, leading into 200 miles of urban trails through the metro area. LIV Sotheby’s agents Barb and Larry Fullerton will show you a secluded enclave in Denver County that has its own entry onto the trail; and shows some of the most unobstructed views of the Rockies from anywhere inside the urban area.
At 1719 S. Uinta Way in Highline Ridge, you’ll see a contemporary custom home built five years ago by pioneering Denver builder-developer Jack Kennedy. He took one of the last remaining parcels bordering the canal and created a wedge-shaped loop of 10 homes sharing the southwest panorama. This one has a wide-open entertaining area on the main level (plus a main-floor bedroom); a master on its own level up, with one of several work-from-home areas, and a walkout below that adds three guest bedrooms and baths, leading to an outdoor living area with a firepit. There’s a 3-car garage.
“Itap stunning,” says Barb Fullerton, adding that if a buyer wanted to put in an elevator between the three levels, Kennedy left a place for that. You’ll see how this often-overlooked neighborhood offers a quick trip into shopping and dining in Cherry Creek, and to both medical campuses at Rose and at Anschutz.
