Peña Boulevard reopened Thursday afternoon after a morning crash caused traffic delays for drivers on their way to Denver International Airport.
Airport officials tweeted just before noon that inbound lanes near 56th Avenue had reopened, with traffic flow returning to normal.
The slowdown occurred when a semitrailer hit a parked car waiting to be towed, Denver police said Thursday morning. The truck then caught fire.
One lane was open toward DIA and traffic was being rerouted around the crash, which occurred near Tower Road.
One person was transported to the hospital with unknown injures, police said.
