Bundle up those princesses and superheroes, Denver, because trick-or-treating will be a little chilly tonight.

Clouds, colder temperatures and a chance of rain might dampen Halloween for those in the Denver region, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder.

Temperatures won’t climb above the mid-40s Sunday, and are likely to drop into the high 30s by about 9 p.m., meteorologist Frank Cooper said.

The city will see an about 20% chance of rain between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m., with a slightly higher chance of precipitation to the north headed toward Fort Collins, he added.

No snow, though, Cooper said.

The gray skies will kick off a cloudy and wet week — don’t expect a sunny day until Thursday, when temperatures will start to climb into the 60s for a sunny and warmer weekend.
