Aurora police on Sunday named a 31-year-old man as the suspect in a shooting that killed one woman and injured two men at a church Friday night.

Jose De Jesus Montoya Villa is wanted for first-degree murder, Aurora police Lt. Matthew Longshore said in a news release Sunday. He said police are searching for the man, who had a relationship with one of the victims in Friday’s shooting, and that there is a $2,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The shooting happened at Iglesia Faro De Luz at 538 N. Olathe St. around 8:15 p.m. Friday. A 36-year-old woman was killed, and both a 40-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were shot but survived, police said. None of the victims have been publicly identified.

At the time of the shooting, about 15 or 20 people were attending an event at the church, police said. They have not released details of exactly what precipitated the attack, and documents that would detail the evidence against the suspect were not available Sunday.
