A suspect in a double homicide in Douglas County was .

Casey Michael Devol, a Franktown resident, was known to the two victims, Sheriff Tony Spurlock said Wednesday during a news conference. The male victim is believed to be a friend and the female victim may be a relative of the suspect, he said.

“We do not have a motive at this point,” Spurlock said.

The two victims, found Tuesday inside a Franktown garage, were identified on Thursday as Bryan Todd Gray, 34, and Jessica Ann Mitchell, 32, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies found the bodies — both with gunshot wounds — around 1:24 p.m. Tuesday in the garage of a home in the 2100 block of Russellville Road after an individual had stopped by to do business with one of the residents, Spurlock said.

Authorities believe they were killed earlier that morning or late the night before, the sheriff said. Both individuals who were killed lived at the residence.

Deputies searched Devol’s home but he wasn’t present, Spurlock said, and the suspect did not show up to work.

Detectives tracked Devol to Salina, Kan., where he was arrested by state and local authorities. He was taken to a local jail to await extradition to Colorado.
