Colorado is preparing for snow, and frigid temperatures as a storm moves through the area on Wednesday and into Thursday.

Road conditions deteriorated Wednesday morning, and flights at Denver International Airport had 79 delayed flights and another 92 flights canceled on Wednesday, according to Flightaware.com.

SkyWest, Southwest, CommutAir and JetBlue are the only airlines that have had to cancel trips as of 9:45 a.m. If you are headed to the airport, it’s smart to check the status of your flight before leaving.

The worst of the storm should come Wednesday night, and the evening commute is expected to be complicated.

Snow is coming down on Peña Boulevard, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation but the road remains open. If you use public transportation, like the RTD A-Line, check your trip before going in case of delays.
