Icy and snowy conditions could be found along Highway 28 or West 120th Ave near Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge on March 9, 2022 near Superior. In nearby Westminster, 0.6 inches of snow had been reported by the National Weather Service for March 9, 2022, as of 7:09 a.m. Snow was expected to continue overnight.

Denver set a new record low Thursday morning, dropping down to negative seven degrees. Cold temperatures and a few inches of snow have taken their toll on the roads, creating adverse driving conditions across much of the region.

9:35 a.m. U.S. Highway 6 eastbound is closed at Road closed at Wadsworth Boulevard, due to a crash.

9:30 a.m. Interstate 70 westbound is open at the Eisenhower Tunnel, after being closed for about two hours due to a crash.

9:15 a.m. U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass opens in both directions after being closed overnight for safety concerns.

9:15 a.m. Interstate 225 southbound was closed at Mississippi Avenue, because of a crash. It opened after a short period of time. Aurora is back on crash alert.

8:55 a.m. Interstate 25 northbound at Meadows Parkway through Happy Canyon Road near Castle Rock was closed very briefly due to a crash.

8:10 a.m. Interstate 25 northbound was down two lanes due to a crash at Colorado Boulevard. That stretch of road is clear.

7:45 a.m. Interstate 76 was down a left lane going westbound between Sheridan Boulevard and Wadsworth Boulevard, due to a disabled tractor-trailer. This issue has been cleaned up.

7:42 a.m. Interstate 25 was down two lanes going southbound at RidgeGate Parkway, thanks to a crash. It was cleared after an hour.

7:35 a.m. Interstate 25 southbound between County Line Road and Lincoln Avenue near Lone Tree had one lane closed, due to a crash. It reopened after a half hour.

7:33 a.m. Interstate 70 westbound was down a lane at Federal Boulevard, because of a crash. It reopened after 8 a.m.

7:19 a.m. Interstate 25 northbound was briefly closed between Plum Creek Parkway and Wilcox Street in Castle Rock, because of a crash. There is still slow traffic and one less lane to use in the area.

7:13 a.m. Interstate 25 southbound was slowed at Happy Canyon Road near Castle Pines because of a crash that’s caused a lane closure. That issue has been cleared.

7:00 a.m. Interstate 70 westbound reopened to traffic between 32nd Avenue and Colorado Mills Parkway after two lanes were closed for about 30 minutes.

6:59 a.m. Interstate 70 eastbound had its left lane is closed due to a crash at Harlan Street. It reopened after 8 a.m.

5:25 a.m. Interstate 25 southbound was down a lane between Greenland and County Line Road near Monument Hill. It reopened after 8 a.m.
