A 16-year-old male was shot dead in Aurora on Friday, the second teenager killed in the city this week.
At 2:34 p.m. police responded to the 12700 block of East Asbury Circle on a report of a shooting and found the teen victim, according to a news release. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A homicide investigation is ongoing. Police did not release any information on a suspect in the shooting. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name after positive identification and notification of family.
On Wednesday a teenager was shot dead at a hotel in the city. Four suspects have been arrested in the case, in which four other people were shot. Three of the four suspects in Wednesday’s shooting are juveniles. One suspect is an 18-year-old, Rafael Bergeron Martinez. Two women were shot at the hotel on Wednesday, ages 19 and 20. All of the suspects are being investigated for first-degree murder, police said.
At about 7 p.m. Friday there was another teen shooting, police said. Officers responded to 2204 S. Quentin Way and found a crime scene and shell casings. The victim, a 17-year-old male, “self-transported” to a local hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening. No suspect information was initially released.
