He struck out six and didn’t walk anyone. … Relievers Ben Bowden, Reagan Todd, Ty Blach and Alex Colomé all recorded scoreless outings. … Right-hander Jordan Sheffield, trying to make the team, had a tough day. He was charged with six runs on four hits, including two home runs in one-third of an inning. He also walked two.

At the plate: The Rockies managed just five hits, but first baseman C.J. Cron continued pounding the ball. He went 1-for-3, raising his spring average to .421 (8-for-19) and extending his hitting streak to five games.

Worth noting: Ryan McMahon is starting to heat up. He hit 2 for 3, boosting his average to .261.
