After a weekend of windy red flag conditions, Denver will enjoy a temporary break from severe fire warnings Monday with breezy weather.

Sunny conditions are expected with a high of 68 degrees and winds between 5 mph and 7 mph under clear skies, the National Weather Service in Boulder said.

Wind is likely to pick up Monday night, with gusts reaching 16 mph with a low around 41 degrees.

Meteorologists think that this week will be warm and dry, with highs over 70 degrees predicted for the rest of the week.
