Denver weather: Red flag warning in effect Monday as strong winds come

A red flag warning will be in effect Monday until 7 p.m. across the Denver area and southern Colorado due to high winds gusting up to 25 mph and low humidity, the National Weather Service said.

Sunny conditions are expected to come later in the day with a high of 77 degrees and winds between 11 and 16 mph.

Tuesday’s weather is expected to reach a high of 79 degrees with winds between 5 and 10 mph, gusting up to 16 mph, triggering a fire weather watch in the Denver area from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Strong winds and warm weather is expected to continue through the week, the weather service said. Wednesday is expected to reach a high of 89 degrees, followed by 77 degrees on Thursday and Friday.
