The Colorado Department of Transportation advised drivers to avoid eastbound Interstate 270 after closing the lanes to help an overturned truck.
The interstate is closed between CO 265 and U.S. Highway 6, the agency said.

Some of the asphalt spilled out of this tanker so the cleanup will take a while. EB 270 remains closed at Vasquez with backups from i-25. Use 25 to 70.
