Widespread CenturyLink outages strike across Denver area, Colorado

CenturyLink users in the Denver area and elsewhere across Colorado reported widespread outages Thursday afternoon.

In Denver, outages between noon and 2 p.m., according to the downdetector.com website. Downed customers in Denver topped out at about 2,500 at about 4 p.m. Thursday.

A CenturyLink outage map showed widespread , as well as outages in Greeley, Fort Morgan, Boulder and Longmont.

CenturyLink offers internet, television, phone and home security services to residences and businesses in 37 states.

On Friday, CenturyLink, in an emailed statement, said “some customers in the Denver area experienced service disruptions caused by a configuration issue. Our techs identified the issue and worked hard to fix it as quickly as possible. We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding.”

All services have been restored in the area, CenturyLink said.
