Denver’s weather is finally going to feel more like fall on Friday and Saturday as a cold front moves into the area after a record-setting hot week.

Friday’s high will be just 67 degrees, with a low of 48 degrees, and Saturday will be even cooler, with a high of 61 degrees and a low of 46 degrees.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny until this evening when showers become likely. Saturday will begin with showers that will taper off throughout the day.

In the mountains, it’s even possible for light snow to fall those days.

The cool weather won’t last long though as temperatures return to seasonal norms with highs in the upper 80s by next Wednesday.

On Sunday, temperatures will start to rise with a high of 78 degrees and a low of 52 degrees. The day will also be mostly sunny.

Monday and Tuesday both have highs of 88 degrees.

Forecasters said it’s hard to know what the precipitation chances will be for next week right now, but there is current a slight chance for some afternoon showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The highest chance for showers next week will be in the mountains.
