Police continue search for three men in deadly shooting off Denver’s East Colfax Avenue

Getaway SUV also found abandoned on Colorado Boulevard

Police are still looking for three men accused of shooting six people in Denver on Tuesday. Meanwhile, an SUV used as a getaway vehicle has been found abandoned.

One of the six victims in Tuesday’s shooting died at the scene, near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Verbena Street, police said.

A man and a woman who were shot have been released from the hospital. Three victims remain in the hospital, but are expected to survive, police said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, police found a black Ford Explorer used by the suspects in the 3900 block of N. Colorado Boulevard, police said. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon. An investigation is ongoing. Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
