The balconies inside Denver’s Brown Palace were lined with people on Sunday, each looking to get a good view of the 34th annual Champagne Cascade.

The Champagne Cascade kicks off the holiday season at the hotel. This year’s event was highlighted by a master swordsmen who use a Napoleonic saber to sever the bottlenecks of Moet & Chandon champagne, which were poured into the uppermost glass of the two-story 6,000-glass pyramid, overflowing into the glasses below.
