The “Mile High Tree” was officially lit with 60,000 LED lights on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Civic Center Park in Denver.

At seven stories and with a 39-foot diameter, organizers say the tree is 10 feet higher than the tallest Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in history. Entry to visit the tree is free, and it will be open 5-10 p.m. every evening through Dec. 31.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was also on hand to tap a ceremonial keg from Prost Brewing to celebrate opening of this year’s Denver Christkindlmarket. The market opened Friday and runs through Dec. 23.
