
Tristan Thompson has reportedly settled a paternity case with Maralee Nichols, agreeing to pay the mother of their 1-year-old son Theo $9,500 per month.
Sources with knowledge of the case told TMZ on Friday Thompson has also some of the 31-year-old fitness expert’s legal fees.
Nichols is expected to have sole custody of the boy, and a visitation plan hasn’t been worked out yet, according to the sources.
The settlement should be filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Friday.
The 31-year-old NBA star — who’s known for both his success on the court and his high-profile cheating scandals and breakups — took to social media in January to reveal that he had “fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.”
The announcement came just weeks after Nichols gave birth to Theo, on Dec. 1, 2021. Thompson, who was in a relationship with Khloé Kardashian at the time, initially denied being the baby’s dad.
Nichols sued the athlete for child support. Court documents showed Nichols claimed Thompson had to keep quiet about the baby.
He later admitted to US Weekly reported, citing legal documents.
After acknowledging he was the father of the boy, Thompson wrote that he was looking forward to He also addressed Kardashian, writing on Instagram that she didn’t “deserve the heartache and humiliation” he caused and he was “so incredibly sorry.”
