Denver residents face fog and freezing drizzle Tuesday, giving way to cloudy skies, with high temperatures near 39 degrees, before possible light snow Tuesday night.
Temperatures hung around 26 degrees Tuesday morning.
Any snow likely will fall mostly before 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Fog may waft back into some areas Tuesday night, weather service forecasters said. And temperatures Tuesday night are expected to decrease to around 24 degrees.
East of Denver on the plains, fog and low clouds socked in farm fields and towns. The weather service issued a winter weather advisory for northeastern Colorado including Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins through 11 a.m. due to ice on bridges and roads.

The snow isn’t expected to accumulate much.
Winds blowing at 5 miles per hour Tuesday are expected to calm after midnight.
Freezing drizzle can slicken sidewalks and roads. The temperatures on roads outside the Denver metro area Tuesday morning remained below freezing, creating patches of ice.
