A person died Sunday on Kiener’s Route on the upper east face of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, according to a news release from the park.
Rocky Mountain National Park Search and Rescue team members received a report of the incident early Sunday afternoon, the release said. The Teton Interagency Helitack crew assisted park personnel in recovery operations.
Kiener’s Route remained closed overnight Sunday and reopened Monday morning.
The incident is currently under investigation.
