Denver police are asking for the public’s help in solving an ongoing homicide case — the shooting death of a 31-year-old man in the East Colfax neighborhood in 2020, and a $20,000 reward is posted.

Zackary Smith was shot at about 3:55 a.m. on Sept. 10, 2020, in the 1700 block of North Quince and North Quebec streets, according to police.

Smith was found shot after he was in a rollover crash in an alley, police said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A reward in the case, for information leading to an arrest and conviction, has increased to $20,000, according to police.

Anyone with information on the incident, or on a suspect, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
