Denver weather: Extended sunny and dry period unfolding with temps in the 80s on the way

Metro area high temps will be in lower 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday

A sunny and dry extended period of weather is upcoming, with Denver temperatures climbing into the 80s on Tuesday.

On Saturday in Denver, there’s a 20% chance of late-afternoon showers, skies will be mostly cloudy and the high temperature will top out near 68 degrees, . Winds will gust to near 21 mph. Cloudy skies will gradually clear overnight in the city, the low temp will be near 36 degrees.

Mostly sunny skies are expected over the metro area on Sunday and the high temperature will be around 68 degrees. Sunday’s overnight low in Denver will be about 38 degrees under mostly clear skies.

Monday in Denver will be warmer still, with a high temp near 76 degrees, the weather service said. Overnight Monday the low will be around 44 degrees.A high temperature of 83 degrees is in the Denver forecast on Tuesday.

Above-normal temperatures and through much of the upcoming local forecast, the weather service said. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected from South Park into the Palmer Divide and adjacent plains during the afternoon from Tuesday through Thursday.
