An outdoor death in Denver prompted a homicide investigation Tuesday.

The death, in the La Alma-Lincoln Park area, was reported in the 1200 block of Mariposa Street, according to a 7:47 a.m. tweet Tuesday by the Denver Police Department.
Police announced on Twitter at 6:02 p.m. that a homicide investigation is underway.The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will identify the victim, pending notification of family, and determine the cause of death.
