Colorado House plans revival of Polis’ gutted zoning reform bill

Senate Democrats stripped down Polis’ housing priority bill last week. House Democrats want to reverse those changes.

Single-stair buildings could be the "anti-slot home," like the one seen above on Tennyson Street in Denver, according to a Denver legislator backing a bill to allow a new type of development here.
DENVER, CO – SEPTEMBER 19: New construction and slot homes, that dwarf smaller more quaint homes like the one on the left, are becoming the norm along popular Tennyson street on September 19, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. Feral Mountain Gear, a popular mountain gear shop at 4320 Tennyson, is being forced to move a new space after the landlord has decided to raze the house to build more slot homes. However, through a crowd-funding campaign and a deal with the landlord, they will be moving four blocks south to 3936 Tennyson. Their landlord believed in their business and purchased the building four blocks south for $1.6 million. (Photo by Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post)
