16th Street Mall Thai food cart opens brick-and-mortar space in Broomfield

Liang’s Thai Food first opened in downtown Denver in 2007

DENVER, CO - MARCH 8: Jaepop Pagdee, owner of LiangÕs Thai Food, right, makes orders for customers during a busy lunch hour on the 16th street mall on March 8, 2022 in Denver, Colorado. Pagdee has been in business there for over 10 years. After almost two years from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mall was hit particularly hard with restaurant and shop closures, the homeless taking over the streets and lack of policing on the once thriving mall. Many restaurants and shops have moved their businesses to the suburbs. But some downtown business operators are optimistic about the future with visitor traffic picking up in the last few months and people slowly trickling back into offices. (Photo by Helen H.
