Hancock blasts Texas governor for sending busload of migrants near Denver’s Civic Center Park

Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Thursday sending the first bus of migrants from Texas to Denver

Nestor Castillo, 22, of Venezuela, is tired from the journey and takes a moment to rest in the shade after arriving on a bus in downtown Denver on May 18, 2023. Denver received a chartered bus with 41 migrants, which was organized by Texas state officials. Castillo was traveling with a group of three others all from Venezuela. They were waiting for a ride from one of their family members who lives in Aurora. The four men plan to stay in Aurora. More than 10,000 migrants have made their way to Denver since December, but on Thursday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the first bus of arrivals that the state of Texas directed to Denver.
