U.S. 6 west of Golden reopened Tuesday morning after being closed in both directions overnight for road construction, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The roadway through Clear Creek Canyon was closed to traffic between Colorado 93 and U.S. 40 due to “safety concerns,” around 9:20 p.m. Monday.

An update on the said U.S. 6 was to remain closed overnight, followed by road maintenance operations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, with alternating traffic during that period.
