Taylor Swift Eras Tour Denver surprise song predictions from a local Swiftie

We’ll be happy with anything Miss Swift chooses, but I’m hoping we see Hayley Williams make an appearance for “Castles Crumbling”

The countdown to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Denver is on.

The two nights the star will play at Empower Field at Mile High come just one week after she released “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” and added six new songs to her already massive discography.

If you’ve avoided spoilers of The Eras Tour, Swift announced on opening night that she would be playing two acoustic songs at every show, saying she had enough to make it through the tour without repeating any. The six new songs from the “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” vault only add to the options for Denver.

Like many a Swiftie, I’ve been tracking the “surprise” songs throughout the tour, so these are my Denver predictions:

Denver Night 1, Friday, July 14

“Back to December” — Not only is this one of my personal favorites of Swift’s, but the song appears in ‘. And what date does it premiere on? That’s right, July 14. Plus, Miss Swift can continue on the “Speak Now” re-release celebration.

“Castles Crumbling (feat. Hayley Williams)” There are some Easter eggs that are too big to ignore. What a coincidence that just one week after Taylor releases a vault song featuring Hayley Williams of , the artist is also slated to perform at . My bet is that on Paramore’s single-day break between concerts in Denver and Palm Springs, Williams will make an appearance at the Eras Tour to play “Castles Crumbling” for the first time ever live.

Denver Night 2, Saturday, July 15

“Starlight” — I think Taylor will spread out the “Speak Now” love and switch up albums on the second night with this hit from “Red (Taylor’s Version)”. I mean who doesn’t want to scream sing “It was the best night, never would forget how we moved, the whole place was dressed to the nines, and we were dancing, dancing!”

“Afterglow” — This fourth song is a bit of a wildcard guess. I can see it being a nice follow-up to “Starlight,” showing both the excitement of a new relationship and the bitter end of one. Plus, it’s a fan favorite from “Lover” that has yet to get its surprise song moment.

More Night 2 options

If Taylor wants to throw a curveball and focus on different albums, she could pair “Picture to Burn” and “no body, no crime.” But I do think, unfortunately, the latter will be saved for a show featuring HAIM.

Deep in the TikTok conspiracies, there’s : “Drop everything now” from “Sparks Fly.” With the timing of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” being released, and the fact that the phrase spells out DEN, the unhinged part of me thinks we may get a new release announcement in DENver.

No matter the surprise songs, I’ll be screaming the lyrics alongside all of you Denver Swifties this weekend.

And Taylor, if you’re reading this, thank you in advance for a magical night in the Mile High City. I love you so much.

Signed, your local Denver Swiftie
