A 26-year-old woman who was killed Sunday while free-solo climbing a ridge on Ypsilon Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park has been identified by the Larimer County coroner as Bailee Mulholland. The cause of death is listed as multiple blunt force injuries.

Mulholland was climbing Blitzen Ridge unroped with a male partner when she fell an estimated 500 feet, according to a news release issued by the park. She was a graduate of Boulder High School and the University of Colorado. Mulholland was a well-known member of the Boulder climbing community, an ultrarunner and a yoga instructor.

On Monday, a different climber free soloing the first Flatiron in Boulder slid 100 feet and suffered serious injuries, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office; the unidentified climber was near the top when he fell.
