No one was injured Tuesday morning when a microlight aircraft unexpectedly landed in a field near Gunbarrel.

Carrie Haverfield, a PIO for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, said her agency received a call at 8:14 a.m. that was originally described as a welfare check. A microlight aircraft with two occupants on board landed in a field near the 6600 block of Jay Road. The landing was unexpected, according to Haverfield, but there were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.

According to Boulder County dispatch, Boulder County responded along with Boulder Rural Fire Protection Rescue. The incident has already been closed.
