A wildfire burning in northwest Colorado saw due to hot, windy and dry conditions.
The , north of Garfield County Road 256 near Douglas Pass, has burned 231 acres, fire officials said in a Thursday afternoon.
The fire was first reported Aug. 13 by the Bureau of Land Management. The fire is burning on land managed by the agency. It was originally about two acres when first reported.
No structures are threatened, and the fire is 0% contained.
Other wildfires burning in Colorado, , include:
- Lowline fire, 11 miles southwest of Crested Butte, lightning-caused, 1,871 acres, 55% contained.
- Little Mesa fire, 12 miles southwest of Delta, lightning-caused, 4,009 acres, 40% contained.
- Quartz Ridge fire, 11 miles northeast of Pagosa Springs, lightning-caused, 1,799 acres, 0% contained.
- Bear Creek fire, 20 miles northwest of Pagosa Springs, lightning-caused, 415 acres, 0% contained.
Air resources were used on the Pike Ridge fire, the agency reported Monday, but weather conditions restricted their ability to fly. On Thursday, 85 firefighters were working on the fire.
Monsoon moisture is expected in the area this weekend.
