The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection with Havana Street early Tuesday that forced the closure of all but one lane.

I-70’s westbound lanes were reopened around 7:30 a.m., officials said in a posting on X, the social media site formerly called Twitter.

Three people suffered serious injuries in the crash on I-70 between Peoria and Havana streets, and one was taken to a hospital, said in a posting on X. The authorities advised drivers to find alternative routes during the closure.

Shortly after 5 a.m., westbound traffic on the highway was reduced to a single lane, police said.

The police were investigating what happened.
