Denver weather: Sunny and warm Sunday, with showers and thunderstorms returning Tuesday

The Denver area will warm up to a high of 83 degrees Sunday and 84 degrees Monday before cooling back down

With temperature highs rising again in Denver, the city can expect warm mornings and cool, fall-like evenings in the week ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers and thunderstorms will return to the mountains Monday and make their way into lower elevations by Tuesday.

Denver temperatures will reach 83 degrees Sunday afternoon, with sunny conditions all day, and hit a low of 55 degrees overnight, .

Monday will see a high of 84 degrees, before it drops back down to 81 degrees on Tuesday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to enter the picture for Denver Tuesday after 1 p.m. and throughout the evening, with low chances for rain the rest of the week.

By Friday, forecasters expect high temperatures in Denver to drop back below 80 degrees for a cooler, sunny weekend.
