Aurora police arrest suspect in fatal shooting at gas station

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the 18800 block of East Hampden Avenue on Wednesday and later died at a local hospital

An 18-year-old Aurora man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in a gas station parking lot in the 18800 block of East Hampden Avenue.

Aurora police responded to a gas station in the Seven Hills neighborhood just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a man shot in the parking lot. The victim, later identified as a 17-year-old boy, died at a local hospital. His identity has not yet been released.

Police arrested Allentino Barroso early Thursday morning, the Aurora Police Department said in a news release.
