Class 5A

1. Cherry Creek (8-0) won at Eaglecrest, 21-0: Senior running back Jordan Herron scored on runs of 1 and 13 yards, Caleb Llamas added a 9-yard scoring run in the third quarter, and the Bruins defense posted its third straight shutout and fourth in five games. Next week: vs. No. 4 Arapahoe, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

2. Columbine (8-0) won vs. Arvada West, 42-14: Slow out of the gates, the Rebels turned a 14-all tie into a runaway victory with four unanswered touchdowns to close out the game. Next week: vs. Lakewood, 4 p.m. Oct. 19.

3. Pine Creek (7-1) lost at Legend, 28-16: A week after losing a one-point heartbreaker at Fountain-Fort Carson, Legend pulled off a stunner, handing the Eagles their first loss of the season. Next week: vs. Douglas County, 6 p.m. Oct. 19.

4. Arapahoe (7-1) won vs. Cherokee Trail, 56-7: Sophomores Jayden Tackitt (13 carries, 105 yards) and Trajan Frasier (15-100) both topped 100 yards rushing, with Frasier finding the end zone five times in a rout. Senior Charlie Eckhardt added three catches for 72 yards. Next week: at No. 1 Cherry Creek, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

5. Ralston Valley (6-2) won vs. Pomona, 48-7: The Mustangs rebounded from a Week 7 loss to Columbine by putting 42 points on the board by halftime Thursday night. Senior QB Logan Madden put up 215 yards and three touchdowns on 17-of-22 passing, senior Brady Weldon carried the ball 10 times for 125 yards and three scores, and senior receiver Jackson Hansen had nine catches for 83 yards and two TDs. Next week: at No. 9 Chatfield, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

6. Mountain Vista (7-1) won vs. No. 7 Castle View, 34-17: Junior QB Austyn Modrzewski threw four TD passes and ran for another score as the Golden Eagles responded to a 14-7 deficit in the second quarter by outscoring Castle View 27-3 the rest of the way. Next week: vs. Highlands Ranch, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

7. Castle View (6-2) lost at No. 6 Mountain Vista, 34-17: Junior QB Derek Gordon snuck in one touchdown and threw for another, the latter giving the Sabercats a 14-7 lead in the second quarter. After Mountain Vista took the lead, Christian Montero’s field goal pulled the Sabercats back within 20-17 in the third, but they didn’t score again. Next week: at Rock Canyon, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

8. Grandview (6-2) won at Smoky Hill, 41-8: Senior QB Liam Szarka had three TDs passing and one rushing, Donavon Vernon tacked on another score and the Wolves took a 41-0 lead into the halftime break to trigger a running clock. Next week: at Cherokee Trail, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

9. Chatfield (5-3) won at Lakewood, 55-6: Senior Jake Jones threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns on 9-of-16 passing, with Drew Rohlman hauling in four of those passes as part a 134-yard night. Niguse Shelp had two interceptions for the Chargers defense, which didn’t give up a touchdown until the fourth quarter. Next week: vs. No. 5 Ralston Valley, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

10. Regis Jesuit (4-4) won vs. Chaparral, 51-0: Junior Garrett Reece ran in three touchdowns, junior QB Peyton Lindell threw touchdown passes to Arturo Chacon and Jojo Hernandez, and Albert Medina tacked on a score in a Raiders rout. Next week: at Legend, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (8-0) won at Air Academy, 55-0: Gabe Klein’s two second-quarter rushing TDs capped a 49-0 Bears first half in the team’s third shutout victory in five games — a string of wins that’s seen Palmer Ridge outscore opponents 222-19. Next week: vs. Cheyenne Mountain, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

2. Erie (7-1) won vs. Silver Creek, 53-6: The Tigers put a 32-spot on the board in the first quarter en route to their seventh straight double-digit win since a Week 1 loss in Florida. Next week: vs. Longmont, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

3. Montrose (6-2) won vs. Coronado, 57-8: The Red Hawks topped 50 points for the second game in a row and third time this season as they jumped ahead 36-0 after one quarter and cruised from there. Next week: vs. No. 9 Mesa Ridge, 6 p.m. Oct. 20.

4. Broomfield (6-2) won at Adams City, 56-8: The Eagles topped 40 points for the third week in a row en route to their fourth straight win. Next week: at No. 8 Fruita Monument, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

5. Golden (6-2) lost vs. Dakota Ridge, 29-28: The Demons jumped ahead 28-7 in the third quarter only to see Dakota Ridge rip off three consecutive touchdowns with a two-point conversion sandwiched in the middle to score a stunning upset and avenge last season’s 49-41 Golden win. Next week: at Adams City, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

6. Thomas Jefferson (8-0) won at Liberty, 48-10: The Spartans moved within a victory of their best start in 16 years with another dominant showing Thursday. TJ went up 41-0 midway through the third quarter, with Liberty unable to get on the board until notching a safety in the fourth. Next week: at Ponderosa, 1 p.m. Oct. 21.

7. Loveland (6-2) won at Skyline, 49-0: Trey Olsen scored touchdowns on all three of his carries, running for 107 yards with a long of 72, and fellow senior Caden Stansbury added 123 yards and two scores on six carries in Loveland’s first shutout victory of the season. Next week: vs. Windsor, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

8. Fruita Monument (6-2) won at Aurora Central, 54-0: The Wildcats crossed the 50-point threshold for the third time this season, setting up a home showdown with Broomfield next Friday that will likely decide a league championship. Next week: vs. No. 4 Broomfield, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

9. Mesa Ridge (6-2) won at Rampart, 47-21: The Grizzlies won their fifth in a row since getting off to a 1-2 start, clinching their second straight winning season ahead of a showdown with Montrose. Next week: at No. 3 Montrose, 6 p.m. Oct. 20.

10. Pueblo West (5-3) won vs. Falcon, 33-19: The Cyclones snapped a two-game losing streak, riding a three-touchdown run between the second and fourth quarters to turn a two-point game into a commanding 33-12 lead. Next week: at Coronado, 6 p.m. Oct. 19.

Class 3A

1. Green Mountain (7-0) won vs. Conifer, 54-14. Next week: at Wheat Ridge, 6 p.m. Oct. 19.

2. Resurrection Christian (5-1) won at Severance, 26-6. Next week: vs. Mountain View, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

3. Holy Family (6-1) won vs. No. 7 Northfield, 23-9. Next week: at Fort Morgan, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

4. Roosevelt (6-1) won vs. Northridge, 38-29. Next week: at Severance, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

5. Lutheran (5-2) won vs. Lincoln, 68-0. Next week: at No. 7 Northfield, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

6. Durango (6-1) won at Glenwood Springs, 48-0. Next week: vs. Eagle Valley, 6 p.m. Oct. 20.

7. Northfield (5-2) lost at No. 3 Holy Family, 23-9. Next week: vs. No. 5 Lutheran, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

8. Lewis-Palmer (6-1) won vs. Pueblo South, 27-7. Next week: at Pueblo Central, 7 p.m. Oct. 20.

9. Riverdale Ridge (6-1) won vs. Frederick, 21-20. Next week: at George Washington, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

10. Thompson Valley (5-2) won at Mountain View, 21-14. Next week: vs. Northridge, 7 p.m. Oct. 19.
