Drivers across most of the Front Range could have some morning commute troubles with dense fog covering most of the urban corridor Thursday morning and overnight snow causing some slick roads.

The Denver metro area saw light snow overnight, with Edgewater receiving a half inch, Denver International Airport receiving one inch and Lone Tree receiving 1.4 inches as of 5:45 a.m. Most of the snow chances Thursday were out of the metro area and further south in eastern Colorado.

Most of the Front Range, from the Wyoming border to Douglas County and including all of the Denver metro, is in a Visibility in some areas could be less than a quarter mile.

The National Weather Service in Boulder advised drivers to be careful of rapidly changing conditions through the morning.

The fog is also causing some lower-than-expected temperatures as Denver is still seeing some sub-freezing temperatures in the morning.

Highs are expected to reach 41 degrees, and the day will be partly sunny once the fog dissipates. The low Thursday night is 26 degrees.
