Two pedestrians were killed and a cyclist and two others were injured in five crashes across the Denver metro region this weekend.
A woman was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash near East Alameda Avenue and South Fraser Court at 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The woman died at the scene and the driver was gone before officers arrived, Aurora police said in a news release.
Another woman was killed in a crash with a vehicle near East 56th Avenue and North Dunkirk Street on Saturday night, according to Denver police.
The department reported the crash on X at 9:16 p.m., and the woman was transported to the hospital and later died.
The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators, Denver police said Sunday. No arrests have been made.
Two pedestrians and a cyclist were injured in crashes within hours of each other on Saturday.
A cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash near East 72nd Avenue and Colo. 2, according to a post at 6:14 p.m. by Commerce City police on X. The cyclist is expected to survive.
Aurora police, a minute before Commerce City police reported their crash, reported a driver hit a man walking .
That driver did stay at the scene, and the man who had been walking was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Denver police at 4:47 p.m. also reported an auto-pedestrian crash between a pedestrian and a driver, which happened .
Denver police did not say whether the driver stayed at the scene, but the people involved only suffered minor injuries.
