Billy Joel to play Coors Field in summer 2024. Here’s how to get tickets.

The Piano Man returns for his first show there since 2019, and second overall at the stadium.

Billy Joel is headed back to Coors Field for his first Denver concert since 2019.

The 74-year-old Grammy-winning pop rocker, who is wrapping up his residencies at in New York City, will play the home of the Colorado Rockies on July 12, 2024. Joel’s most recent Denver concert also took place at the 50,398-seat baseball stadium, on Aug. 8, 2019.

Tickets for the summer 2024 show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, promoter Live Nation said in a press statement. Prior to that, Citi card members will have access to presale tickets beginning 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8 until 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. Verizon customers will have access to presale tickets beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 until 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. (Verizon customers will be notified through email.)

In his second Coors Field appearance, Joel “will perform his most beloved songs from throughout his illustrious career,” Live Nation officials wrote.

Joel’s most recent show at Coors Field was part of a limited run of U.S. stadiums in 2019. The morning after the 2019 Denver concert, Joel tweeted a photo of him hanging out backstage with , who then performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre that night (Friday, Aug. 9).

Joel’s recent run at Madison Square Garden is part of his record-breaking residency at the venue, with Variety reporting he’ll play a total of 150 shows there. The hitmaker played 34 songs over two and half hours at a late-October concert, Variety reviewer Rebecca Rubin wrote.

Joel is known for his concert prowess and frequent touring: He has released seven live albums overall, and five of them since the year 2000, including “2000 Years: The Millennium Concert” (2000), “12 Gardens Live” (2006), and “Live at Shea Stadium: The Concert” (2011). Since playing Denver in 2019, he’s reached back to release “Live at Carnegie Hall 1977” (2019) and “Live at the Great American Music Hall 1975” (April 2023).
