
U.S. 287 has reopened in both directions between Longmont and Berthoud after it was closed for about six hours after two crashes on the roadway, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
CDOT reported the closure at 9:06 a.m. at Horseshoe Circle just north of Yellowstone Road. It reported on X the road was reopened as of 3 p.m.
Highway 287 is completely shut down just north of Yellowstone between Longmont and Berthoud. There is a major crash and cruise will be on scene for an extended period today. Please find an alternate route and avoid the area. is point of contact for this incident.

Mountain View Fire Rescue officials expected the road to be closed for an “extended period” and advised drivers to find an alternate route.
