
Update 5:26 p.m.: U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass is reopened, though drivers should still use slower speeds as road crews remove snow from the road, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Update 12:35 p.m.: Interstate 70 eastbound in Vail and Colorado 9 north of Silverthorne have reopened, the Colorado Department of Transportation reported about 12:30 p.m.
Original reporting: U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass, Colorado 9 north of Silverthorne, Colorado 14 near Walden and Interstate 70 eastbound in Vail are closed due to safety concerns from snow.
The closure in Vail is at Exit 176, according to the Department of Transportation, and U.S. 6 is closed from Mile Point 222 to Interstate 70.
The closure on Colorado 9 in both directions is just north of Heeney due to a crash, according to the department.
Colorado 14 also is closed from Walden to U.S. 40 in both directions for safety concerns.

Another three to six inches of snowfall is likely across the high country Thursday, and strong wind gusts could create blowing snow and dangerous road conditions, forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder said.
