The Thornton Police Department is asking for the witness of an accident that killed a man on May 4 to come forward.
Around 8:15 p.m. on May 4, Thornton police responded to a report of an injured man in the road in the 8700 block of Washington Street. The man later died from his injuries,
Officials initially believed the man was a victim of a hit-and-run, but learned he may have fallen from the back of a truck, according to the alert.
Police are now searching for a witness riding a motorcycle who directed other people to call 911 but did not stay at the scene.
