One of the top offensive linemen in the 2025 class wants to be a Buff.

On Monday, Chauncey Gooden, a four-star recruit from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn., gave his verbal commitment to Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders.

Gooden was one of several top recruits in Boulder this past weekend, making it one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year for CU.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Gooden, who plays guard, is rated by 247Sports.com as the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class and the No. 3 overall rated player from Tennessee.

Gooden has 50 scholarship offers and recently took an official visit to Clemson. He has also considered Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and South Carolina.

At the Under Armour Next Camp in Nashville in April, Gooden was named the “Alpha Dog” for his performance.

Gooden is the fourth player committed to CU for the 2025 class, joining cornerback Alex Graham (Bradenton, Fla.), linebacker Mantrez Walker (Buford, Ga.) and tight end Corbin Laisure (Bluff City, Tenn.).
