Rockies star catcher Elias Diaz exited Saturday night’s matchup against the San Francisco Giants due to right calf tightness.

Diaz was replaced by Jacob Stallings at the top of the third inning when the Rockies were up 2-0. Stallings would go on to record a single in his first plate appearance of the evening.

Last month, Diaz landed on the 10-day injured list due to a left calf strain before being reinstated on June 30.

Diaz has played in 68 games, sporting a .284 batting average with five home runs, 30 RBI and 16 walks. He has struggled this month, hitting .188 with 10 strikeouts. Diaz entered Saturday having just recorded two hits in the last six games.
