Migrants coming to Denver from Venezuela had all sorts of careers in their native country, but when they make it to the United States they have to start from scratch. Getting work authorization could take months if not years. The city is hosting a legal and workforce clinic for migrants to help them. The first step in the process is the initial screening process to find out their eligibility for a work permit. Many of the arriving migrants have their official paperwork that they are very careful not to lose. Photo by Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post)
